Do Beard Growth Products Really Work?
This is the million dollar question among thousands and thousands of men who are struggling to grow a nice, full beard.
The unfortunate truth is that the majority of all the so-called beard growing products available on the market today are 100% BS.
How do I know?
It’s simple – After having done extensive research on this topic for a number of months, I have found a ton of information that proves that most products do not contain the scientific proof that such products contribute to the growth of facial hair in any way, shape or form.
Sure, many of these beard growth products may make claims such as that they have the ability to increase your testosterone, or allows the skin on your face to be in the optimal state for healthy hair growth, or maybe even that they somehow stimulate the blood flow on your face to adequately make it qualified to grow any hair.
Unfortunately, all these claims from such beard products lack the main ingredients needed in order to grow new facial hair that never existed.
Furthermore, all the scientific studies associated with these products further reports through in-depth analysis and extensive experiments that none of them have the evidence that they can indeed contribute directly to the growth of new facial hair.
This only means one thing: Don’t fall into the trap.
As far as products that are specifically promoted as “beard growth” products are concerned, not a single one is proven to work.
However, it doesn’t mean that those looking for products to help grow a beard or increase hair growth on their face are out of luck.
That’s because while the ineffective beard growth products only has effective marketing going for them, the irony is that there DOES exist products that will contribute to your hair growth, but simply are not directly marketed as such.
So today, let’s discuss some of these everyday products (in the form of questions that we are asked almost everyday by beard growth enthusiasts) that would both directly and indirectly help increase hair follicles on your face that will eventually result in the ability to finally grow the thick, dark and full beard you have always wanted.
Question #1: What Can I Use To Make My Beard Grow (Faster, Longer & Thicker)
First up, I want to lay out all the cards on the table and reiterate a variation of what I mentioned above:
While there is no “magic beard growth product” out there that will miraculously give you a magical full beard overnight as some of those products may claim, there IS one active ingredient that exists in a variety products that HAS been proven with facts, figures and results that with consistent application over a period of months, thousands of men have experienced growing NEW hair on their faces that they never had before.
This active ingredient is called minoxidil, and while it is not a product on its own, it is the key ingredient in many products that are FDA approved and proven to be able to treat male pattern baldness and female hair loss, to either regrow hair they have lost, or even grow brand new hair in areas that they’ve never had hair before.
You may have heard of some of these hair loss products, as some of the more popular brands are quite famous, such as Rogaine, Kirkland and Regain.
As a matter of fact, you have also probably seen some of their commercials on TV and radio, advertisements in newspapers and magazines, and maybe even all around the web now, with the popularity of Facebook and other banner ads on almost every website we visit these days.
In a nutshell, minoxidil was invented with the intention of treating male pattern baldness, as well as hair falling out prematurely for both men and women alike.
However, several years back, groups of young men around the world decided to be bold and bravely tried out the product on their faces in an honorable attempt to grow facial hair.
This was, of course, before the age of social networking sites like Facebook and YouTube, so unless you were a part of their community by somehow coming across their forum online, almost nobody knew about or were even made aware of their mission.
Those who were a part of it had the opportunity to experience something unique, as one by one, young men and full grown adults alike started to report that minoxidil, upon consistent application, were successfully able to grow their very first beards.
Fast forward to today, thousands of guys with similar goals have joined a few new communities of like minded men with the same mission – to grow a beard.
And one by one, the successes started to come in.
Take a look at this video that compiled a list of 10 guys who were able to grow the beards that they have always wanted with the use of minoxidil.

And the truth is – You can, too!
Minoxidil has been proven to work time and time again on men who never thought they would be able to grow a beard for whatever reason: the fact that they’re Asian (there is a stereotype that Asian men can’t grow beards), they feel they don’t have the genetic make up to grow facial hair, or that they are too young or too old and facial hair growth needs to be stimulated and activated at a certain age.

Question #2: What Is The Best Beard Vitamin – Do These Vitamins Work?
This is obviously a two part question; some may even argue that they are two questions completely.
Whatever the case, let’s start by answering them one by one.
Because we like to do things differently here at StubbleHub, I’m going to begin by answering the second question first 😛
Do beard vitamins work?
First of all – let us make one thing clear (which is a similar concept as what we discussed above about beard growth products).
There is no such thing as a “beard vitamin”… at least not in the way that they may be perceived or marketed.
With that said, the additional nutritional benefits of regular vitamins CAN cause, promote, make and help in facial hair growth.
Vitamin deficiency within your system can be a potential reason that your beard is either not filling in or growing at all.
Unfortunately, there is no official “beard test” out there that you can take to determine what type of nutrients your body is lacking, thus making it impossible to figure out if you need more vitamin A, or vitamin B, or vitamin C, or vitamin D, or vitamin E, or… (you get the idea).
For this reason, you also would have no idea which specific vitamin you should consume in order to increase facial hair growth.
This leads us to the first part of the question.
What vitamins should I take for beard growth?
As mentioned above, it is impossible to pinpoint exactly what vitamin or nutrient you are deficient in that relates to your inability to grow facial hair.
Because of this, we don’t recommend a single vitamin to take.
However, we also don’t recommend that you purchase all kinds of vitamins in the hope that at least one or more of them would contribute towards your beard growth.
The good news is that you are still able to potentially get all the vitamins you need that your body is lacking in a single bottle.
This product is called the multi-vitamin (you should get the ones specifically for men).
Multi-vitamins contain many different kinds of vitamins and nutrients inside, and chances are, all of them will contribute towards growing healthy hair, including the ones on your face.
This is good news because the vitamins will keep your body at its maximum performance, and quite frankly, multi-vitamins are something you should be consuming on a regular basis anyway to keep yourself as healthy as possible.
Even better news is that you only need to take one a day, so there’s no swallowing down pill after pill after pill without even knowing whether or not you need them in the first place.
A good choice of multivitamin would be one that includes vitamin A, vitamin B (including vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin B3, vitamin B4, vitamin B5, vitamin B6, etc.), vitamin C, vitamin D (particularly vitamin D3), and vitamin E.
Other minerals you should look for in multivitamins should include calcium, magnesium, iron, zinc, folic acid, biotin, iodine and selenium (although these minerals would more likely fit under the category of supplements, which is what we will be discussing next).

And finally…
Question #3: Do Beard Growth Supplements Work – What Kinds Of Medicine Or Drugs Should I Take For Facial Hair?
By now, you should already be familiar with the theme behind this beard growth informational article.
There is no single beard product of any kind proven to directly produce facial hair growth results.
In order for you to achieve your desired beard growth results, you must ensure that your body has everything it needs to grow facial hair by investing in a combination of health products that will put your body in its peak condition.
Which brings us to this final question…
Keeping in mind that while there is no such thing as a “beard growth supplement,” there are, of course, health supplements you can take to increase facial hair growth.
They may not be considered medicine or drugs (although some people may clinically refer to minoxidil as a drug, which does have some truth to it).
But I digress…
The multi-vitamins discussed above may be considered a form of health supplement, but it is important to note that some of the individual minerals included in the multi-vitamin bottles may also be their own individual supplement you take that can contribute towards facial hair growth.
Let’s take a look at the most common one…
Biotin – Does it work for facial hair growth?
Probably one of the most talked about active mineral on the topic of facial hair growth is biotin.
Biotin is perceived to be such an important part of the beard growth process that it is arguably one of the most recommended supplement to take along with your minoxidil journey (by those who are also going through the some journey).
There are a few benefits of taking biotin along with your regular diet, including the facts that they promote the healthy growth of hair and nails, and even can help them grow at a faster rate than they normally do.
However, biotin alone (with any other supplements, vitamins or minoxidil) would not necessarily promise any new facial hair growth.
That said – some people have also shared that biotin actually does not make any big difference in your beard growth journey, and that it would only help you if your normal diet does not include any of the ingredients provided within biotin.
In the end, whether you want to take biotin to supplement your beard growth journey is 100% up to you, but if you do choose to consume it for its other health benefits, the most effective way shared by other users is to take it once every few days, and to choose the biotin 10,000 mcg version (which normally isn’t available over the counter in most countries, but is available to purchase on Amazon from this link here).
Final Thoughts On Best Beard Products Reviews
If nothing else, I hope you at least walk away from this article with the clear understanding that there really is no such thing as a “beard product.”
Beard supplements, beard vitamins, beard medicine, beard drugs – none of them actually exist in the context in which they are marketed or perceived.
On the other hand, the topical and consumable health products (such as minoxidil, multi-vitamins and biotin) discussed in this article do contain ingredients all designed to contribute towards your beard growth journey.
Again – this is not just marketing talk or a bunch of theory with nothing to back up; thousands are publicly sharing their newly grown beard success stories as a way to inspire others who share the same facial hair growth problems that there are action steps they can take to successfully grow their own beards.
By following the same steps and using the same products they use, you have a high chance of replicating their results.
So don’t fall for the hype of “beard products” – Rather, follow a proven process with actual results, backed up by real proof that you can see with your own eyes!
Thousands of successful new beards can’t be wrong 🙂
