Welcome to StubbleHub.com!
Let me guess…
The reason you’re here is because you want to grow a faster, thicker, fuller and longer beard.
Perhaps you have some bald spots? Perhaps you have hair patches on your face? Or – Perhaps your sides are uneven?
Wait – There might be another reason: You simply can’t grow any facial hair at all to begin with!
Believe it or not, these problems are all so common among a variety of men in all parts of the world from all walks of life.
Having undesirable looking facial hair (or no facial hair at all!) definitely takes a toll on a guy’s confidence to “feel like a real man,” especially if you have the inability to grow one.
That’s why I am happy to introduce you to, if you haven’t heard of it already, to a miraculous product that has successfully helped thousands of men grow the beard that they’ve always wanted.
This product is called .
Actually, minoxidil is not a product; it’s an ingredient of a product, and is sold to consumers via many different brands.
You may have heard of some of them:
- Whatever other “gain”
- Plus a whole bunch of other generic brands
… Just to name a few.
Now, let me start by first being completely honest with you.
Minoxidil is a proven product for hair loss, and while it is FDA approved (at the time of this writing) to be used on the scalp, it has not yet been approved to be used on your face.
That being said, the FDA also approves products like cigarettes and various types of harmful drugs, so I’m not sure the FDA stamp of approval really means much of anything at this point 😛
With that out the way, I’m sure you would agree that the only thing that really matters for any product and its intended use for the consumer is the result.
And results, there are many.
Minoxidil Beard Testimonials
For starters, click play in the video player below to see a quick clip on some of the most recent successes of men who have been able to achieve full beard growth by using minoxidil.
Which means that the answer to the question – “Does minoxidil really work for beard and facial hair growth?” – the answer, as can be testified by thousands of satisfied consumers, is an astounding “YES!”
Now, don’t get me wrong.
In no way, shape or form am I saying that minoxidil is a “magic pill” that will generate a full beard for you overnight.
Just like anything else – results will require you to be diligent, consistent, and most of all, extremely, extremely patient.
As a matter of fact, I have the obligation to let you know that results may vary from person to person, as while some may achieve a full face of hair within weeks, some may experience only minor results many months into the process.
The actual results that you may get will depend on a variety of factors, including (but not limited to):
- Your overall diet (whether or not you are consuming the “beard food” that provides proper nutrition for healthy hair growth)
- Your existing health (whether or not you are physically healthy enough to proceed with the journey, as certain side effects may occur)
- Your exercise routine (whether or not you are working out regularly to increase the testosterone necessary to grow a beard)
- Your regular habits (whether or not you have any habits that are known to decrease testosterone or overall healthy growth – such as smoking, for example)
- Your supplements (whether or not you are taking certain supplements to replenish any of the nutrition you may be deficient in as a result of poor diet)
One thing that I will add – and while it may not necessarily play a huge factor as every individual person is different – is that in the end, how long it takes for you to achieve results may ultimately boil down to your genetics.
I’m not talking about genetics as in your ethnic background, as there is huge speculation that Asians can’t grow beards, for example, but as proven by many fellow Asian brothers, minoxidil has definitely helped them to achieve their facial hair goals.
Instead, I’m talking about your own genetic make up and whether or not you have tiny peach fuzz on your face to begin with (also called vellus hair).
Most people have these vellus hairs, and if you do, then minoxidil can possibly work for you.
Unfortunately, there are people out there who don’t have vellus hairs, which means minoxidil won’t work for them (this includes people from all sorts of ethnicities, so it has nothing to do with being Asian, Caucasian, African Mexican or whatever else).
However, I would say that regardless, it doesn’t hurt to give minoxidil a try, because while as mentioned, minoxidil may not necessarily work for everyone, it has, in fact, worked for many people who were able to grow their facial hair to their satisfaction against all odds.
Now, before you make a decision on whether or not minoxidil is for you, and whether or not you have what it takes to start what our community calls the “minoxidil journey,” here is a list of preliminary FAQ’s that might help you make a choice either way.
Minoxidil Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Does minoxidil really work for growing beards and facial hair?
Let’s address the elephant in the room and get this one out of the way 🙂 The truth is, no matter what I say, how I say it and even with tons and tons of testimonials one after another, there will always be someone who will ask the obvious question. Well, the obvious answer is “Yes!” Of course, it’s up to you whether or not you want to believe it, but the fact of the matter is that results don’t lie. Results simply doesn’t lie. It can’t! We have photos of real people, before and after close ups and even videos from the users themselves that prove minoxidil is, in fact, an effective solution for anyone who wants to grow a full beard but can’t. Many have done it, and many more will continue to do it. Successful facial hair growth. And you can be next!
Q. How long will it take to start seeing results with minoxidil?
As results differ from person to person, there is no official answer to this. Some people have reported seeing new facial hair growth within a few weeks, while others say they needed a few months to notice any difference. On average, it can be justified to say most people may be able to grow new hair within 6 to 8 weeks.
Q. How long do I need to be on minoxidil for my beard to become permanent?
Again, every person is different, but what is scientifically reported is that as soon as the vellus hair on your face (or anywhere else on your body) later transitions into terminal hair, said terminal hair will become permanent. That said, it may take some people longer than others to achieve permanent terminal hairs. Overall, we have seen those who embarked on the minoxidil journey to stay on the product for one year or two years.
Q. Are there any side effects?
While not everyone experiences side effects, minoxidil is considered a drug, and whether it’s being used on the head to treat baldness or face to stimulate beard growth, side effects are possible. Such side effects may include, but are not limited to: fatigue, bloating, loss of appetite, skin dryness, itchiness, increased heart rate speed, among others. Although, many also report that these side effects are only temporary, as your body is adjusting to the new changes, and could go away in as soon as a few days and usually nothing to worry about.
Q: Should I start with the minoxidil 2%, 5%, 10% or higher?
Based on a few different studies with the use of laboratory mice as well as real people trying out the products on themselves, the general consensus is that minoxidil 5% is the best place to start. Compared to the 2%, the 5% is not as harsh on your body, but the results are faster. While compared to the 10%, the 5% will generate faster results, but there may be more side effects. For starters, it is recommended that you go with minoxidil 5%, and only move up to the 10% after your body has gotten used to having minoxidil in your system. Even though I have seen minoxidil 15% in several online stores, anything higher than minoxidil 10% is generally considered unsafe.
Q: Should I use the liquid or the foam version?
According to many minoxidil experts and sources online, both the liquid and foam have the same effectiveness – assuming they are both minoxidil 5%. Minoxidil 5% is minoxidil 5%, regardless of whether it comes in liquid or foam. Some people prefer liquid because it is less expensive, while others prefer foam because it is much more gentle on the skin with fewer side effects. For example, while liquid minoxidil users complain of skin dryness, rash and itchiness, some experts say these side effects are non-existent on the foam. However, just like anything else, it may depend on the individual user, so take this with a grain of salt.
Q: Do I need to do anything else besides using minoxidil in order to get my results?
While there are plenty of people who have achieved their results by simply applying minoxidil 5% once or twice a day (and doing nothing else), there are also people who would recommend a variety of different things, some of which may relate to your lifestyle. For example, it may be recommended by some that you start practicing a more healthy lifestyle. This may include going to sleep early, getting at least 8 hours of rest, waking up early for a morning workout, consuming healthy food and drinking plenty of water during the day. Others on the journey may also recommend that you take certain types of supplements, multi-vitamins, and use a tool called a dermaroller once or twice a week to stimulate the pores on your face. The list of suggestions can be a lot, but in the end, it is the minoxidil that matters most. To get started, you don’t need to worry about all the other recommended products. Simply start with the minoxidil and if you choose, you can always decide to add more routines that will be complementary to your beard journey.
Q: Which brand should I use?
As mentioned earlier, there are a few different brands of minoxidil on the market, including Rogaine, Regaine and Kirkland, among others. However, the official word on the street is (again) – minoxidil is minoxidil. Which means that Rogaine 5% would work exactly the same as Kirkland 5%, and either (or any other brand you might decide to go with) will give you the same results. The only difference may be the price. Rogaine is known to be more expensive, while Kirkland is another respectable brand that is more affordable. There might be other brands out there that are even cheaper, but with so many “copycats” out there, we can’t be sure which one is real or safe. Better to go with one of the top brands most popular among our circle of bearded bros.
Q: How much does minoxidil cost?
The actual cost of minoxidil depends on your chosen brand, where you’re buying it from and the location that the product is being sent to. Also, different sellers may decide to price their products differently, as some may even bundle up the minoxidil with some other products to present an enticing package for their customers. The good news is I’m always looking out for the best deals, and whenever I find them, they will be updated and reflected on this site. If you find an even better deal out there than the ones I currently have, be sure to let me know so I can update it for the best interest of all our readers!
Another thing to note: Most sellers typically sell their minoxidil products cheaper if you purchase more at once.
Since it is highly recommended that you stay on the minoxidil journey for at least 12 months, it may be in your best interest to invest in all of the bottles at once.
This will help you save on the products, shipping and time in the event that you run out of minoxidil and need to wait for the new shipments to come in.
But of course, it is ultimately your choice if you want to go with 12 bottles, 6, 3, or maybe even start with only 1 (although your costs will eventually become a lot higher).
In any case, you can take a look at the options below and decide for yourself.
Well, I hope this minoxidil review on using the product on your face to stimulate beard and facial hair growth is helpful to you.
